Mid-Hudson, NY Partners

Managing Partner (Mid-Hudson Offices) - John J. Cina, Jr., CPA/PFS

John J. Cina, Jr. ("Jack") graduated Fordham University, Summa Cum Laude in 1981. His accounting career began at D'Arcangelo & Co., LLP in August of 1981 as a staff accountant. In 1983 he became a certified public accountant licensed to practice in New York State and in 1998 attained the designation of Personal Financial Specialist. In 1990, Jack became a partner at D'Arcangelo & Co., LLP and is presently the Managing Partner of the Mid-Hudson offices.

Jack has over twenty years experience in accounting, tax and consulting services. He has extensive experience in working with Colleges, Auto Dealerships, Construction Contractors and Medical Practices. He is the engagement partner on major clients such as Marist College.

Jack is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. Jack serves on various committees within the community including: Past Trustee on the Board of the Saint Francis Hospital Healthcare Foundation, Trustee on the Saint Francis Hospital Board, Board of Trustees - Treasurer for Community Foundation, Board of Directors - Hudson Valley Endoscopy Center, and a Past Chairman of the Marist College Annual Fund Business Division.

Audit and Tax Partner - Michael C. Betros, CPA/PFS

Michael C. Betros ("Mike"), a graduate of St. Bonaventure University in 1979, joined D'Arcangelo & Co., LLP in 1983 and has been a partner since 1988. He became a Certified Public Accountant in 1982 and attained the Personal Financial Specialist designation in 1998.

He has extensive experience in auditing financial institutions, non-profit organizations and small businesses. He provides extensive tax, accounting and consulting services to individuals and small businesses with a concentration in services to physicians, attorneys, insurance agents and restaurants.

Mike is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is a current Board Member of the Astor Home for Children and the LaGrange Youth Baseball Board and a past Board Member of Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Dutchess County and the Mental Health Association of Dutchess County.

Audit and Tax Partner - Wayne E. Sauer, CPA

Wayne E. Sauer ("Wayne") graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology, School of Business in 1983. In 1985 he became a certified public accountant licensed to practice in New York State. Wayne joined D'Arcangelo & Co., LLP in 1987 and became a partner with the firm in 1994. Wayne is currently the chairperson of the firm's quality control committee.

Wayne is the partner in charge in the Millbrook office of D'Arcangelo & Co., LLP. He specializes in medical practices, construction contractors, income and estate tax planning and consultations.

Wayne is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is currently the Treasurer of the First Presbyterian Church of Pleasant Valley and a member of the Church's finance committee. Wayne is an active Emergency Medical Technician in his community Rescue Squad, a 2006 Dutchess County hero nominee and Treasurer of the Salt Point Fire Company. Wayne has served as a member of the Board of Directors of Millbrook Business Association, Trustee of the Pleasant Valley Rescue Squad, Chairman of the Audit Committee of Hudson River Presbytery and as a Pleasant Valley Little League coach.

Audit and Tax Partner - Joanne M. Casabura, CPA,CFP

Joanne M. Casabura ("Joanne") graduated Marist College, Magna Cum Laude in 1986. Prior to joining D'Arcangelo & Co., LLP in 1991, she worked as a staff accountant for a local accounting firm. In 1989 she became a certified public accountant licensed to practice in New York State and in 1999 a certified financial planner. In 2000, Joanne became a partner at D'Arcangelo & Co., LLP.

Joanne is responsible for audit, review, compilation and consulting services to clients in various service industries.

Joanne is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. She is Co-Treasurer for the Highland Parent Teacher Association.

Audit and Tax Partner - Gretchen M. Bradshaw, CPA

Gretchen M. Bradshaw graduated in 1992 from Pace University with a Masters degree in accounting. She became a Certified Public Accountant licensed to practice in New York State in 1994. Gretchen joined D'Arcangelo & Co., LLP in 1994 as a staff accountant. In 2003 Gretchen became a partner in the Firm and is currently the partner-in-charge of the Tax Department. Gretchen serves on the Firm's Marketing and Inter-Office Coordinating Committees. Prior to joining D'Arcangelo & Co., LLP, Gretchen worked at KPMG Peat Marwick for two years in their audit and personal financial planning departments.

Gretchen provides tax and consulting services for businesses and individuals, as well as review and compilation services. Gretchen oversees client satisfaction and client relations with respect to the Firm's small business and tax clients.

Gretchen is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants and Southern Dutchess Horsemen's Association.

Audit and Tax Partner - Brenda K. Santoro, CPA

Brenda Santoro graduated from SUNY New Paltz in 1993. In 1997 Brenda joined D'Arcangelo & Co., LLP as a staff accountant and became a Certified Public Accountant licensed to partice in New York State in 1999. In 2005 Brenda became a partner in the Firm providing tax and consulting services for businesses and individuals as well as compilation, review and audit services for a variety of entities.

Brenda specializes in the real estate and construction industries and has extensive experience working with computer assisted audit techniques. She serves on the Firm's Information Technology Committee and Continuing Education Committee.

Brenda is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA).

Tax Partner - James P. Booth, CPA

James P. Booth ("Jim") graduated in 1968 from The State University of New York at Buffalo. Jim became a Certified Public Accountant in 1974. From 1968 to 1983, Jim worked with Price Waterhouse, in their Rochester, NY and New Orleans, LA offices. From 1983 through 1987, Jim worked with Laventhol & Horwath in Bridgeport, CT. In 1988, Jim joined the New York City accounting firm of Jacobs Evall & Blumenfeld LLP, which, in 1999 merged with J.H. Cohn LLP. Jim became a partner in D'Arcangelo & Co., LLP when he merged his practice with the Firm in August, 2005.

Jim's experience includes a wide variety of clients and industries. Although he has served as tax advisor to some large publicly-traded clients, including one of the largest newspaper chains in the U.S., he has dealt with closely-held family businesses and individuals throughout his career. He has specialized recently in in-bound international tax issues, commodity dealers, real estate operators and developers, individual income, estate and gift taxes, and various tax accounting method issues of businesses and individuals.

Jim is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is currently a member of the International Tax Committee of the New York State Society of CPA's and the International Tax Institute. He has appeared as a panelist on in-bound international tax issues at the Foundation for Accounting Education's International Tax Conference and at the FAE's evening technical sessions. Jim has served on the boards, and has been an officer of, many professional, community, civic and religious organizations and committees. He currently serves on the finance team of his church and is a member of the board of directors of his home owners' association.
